The basis of Tantric Massage which is also known as Tantric balancing, lies within the Tantric Yoga a deep energising massage. The aim is to gently relax the muscles, releasing stress and blockages within the body by using a force of energy know as “Kundalini”. Through the use of massage, touch and exercise, this energy helps to cleanse the body, thereby balancing emotions and other anxieties.
When the Chakra points are opening there will be a ‘warm’ or ‘tingling’ sensation. Once fully opened the Chakra points are ready for the Kundalini energy to flow.Once released the ‘earth’ energy will travel upwards to the energy that originates from the sun. Tantric practitioners believe that the balancing equation is complete when these negative and positive forces meet.

This abbreviated version of the class is, actually, a good routine to use as a warm-up before your really intense workouts! We use a similar routine, Movement Prep, which is yoga inspired.
